Partner Shelter Team When disaster strikes there is often a need for the American Red Cross to open evacuation shelters, warming centers or overnight shelters. Traditionally, the Red Cross has written shelter agreements with numerous churches, schools, township halls, etc. More recently, the Red Cross developed a “Partnering Shelter Program”, that engages churches and civic organizations and provides training on “how to” open the doors of a community shelter. |
